Blue Grass Army Depot has three beautiful lakes that are fully stocked, for the whole family to enjoy! All persons applying for a fishing pass, must have a Kentucky state fishing license, valid driver’s license and proper ID to verify eligibility.

 

*All memberships can be purchased at the MWR Office.

*Call the MWR Office to see if you access to Lake Vega! 

*Fishing Equipment Provided. (boat, trolling motor, life vest, oars and fire extinguisher.) Must provide own battery for trolling motor.

Fishing Membership

Unrestricted Fishing Pass:

  • Access to Lake Vega will be determined by another security clearance being active. $35 per year - a Kentucky State Fishing License is required.

The unrestricted fishing pass gives you access to fish at Lake Vega, Lake Buck & Lake Gem. Fisherman may bring up to 3 guests. Guests are restricted to the cardholders spouse, parents, children, or grandchildren. No in-laws allowed. MWR provides boats for use and are located at each lake. Personal boats are not authorized. Lake Vega is available most weekends and holidays. Lake Buck and Gem are available Monday-Sunday, from dawn until 30 minutes prior to dusk. No one is allowed to fish after dark. Creel limits are posted at each lake.


Restricted Fishing Pass:

  • Civilian: $35 per year - Kentucky State Fishing License is required.

The restricted fishing pass gives you access to fish at Lake Buck & Lake Gem. MWR provides boats for use and are located at each lake. Personal boats are not authorized. Bank fishing is permitted. Fisherman may bring up to 3 guests. Guests are restricted to the cardholders spouse, parents, children, or grandchildren only. Generally, fishing hours are from dawn until 30 minutes prior to dusk. No one is allowed to fish after dark. Creel limits are posted at each lake.
